Y: SHARED ENVIRONMENTS is the bilateral cooperation between the Y events and the Norwegian platform Performance Art Bergen.
From 2022 to 2024, the project aims to strengthen the capacities of both organisations, to seek new ways for curators’ practices and to create a shared environment where individual curators’ approaches and contexts of Norwegian and Czech arts scenes can enrich one another.
The core of the project are two research residencies: the first one is designed for the duo of curators of the Y Events (Anna Chrtková and Petr Dlouhý) and the second for one of the curators of the Performance Art Bergen (Franziska Siegrist). The outcome of the residencies will be a series of three events in 2023. The common feature of these events will be the effort to find new formal approaches for organisation of the events as well as the artistic (post)practice of the participants.
The events of the Y: SHARED ENVIRONMNENTS cycle are created by a collective approach, by the shared imagination of the participating artists, theorists and curators, and by the effort to find common ground where new visions for the Y Events can be articulated.
The project was founded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021.
