Y: Once Upon A Time
An event of dreaming. A transformation.
It’s not easy to escape the unstable and stormy waters of the present. We want to create dreamy narratives consciously, we want to search for the aesthetics of a dreamed-of future and we want to immerse ourselves in epics and myths here and now.
Y: Once Upon a Time opens space for the stories and fantasies beneath our everyday reality. Acknowledging the weight of escaping from reality, we return to our childhood days, when fairy tales represented the only possible future for all of us. The characters from these stories are always with us – we want to know them, we want to become them. Once upon a time becomes a magical formula – what can be experienced tonight, who can we become tonight, who can we meet tonight and what can happen to turn “once upon a time” into “now.”
