Garden party as a place of encounter. Gardening as the acceleration of the work of nature. Farming as a means of better understanding planetary cycles.
The cultivation process climaxes in a collective feast. The party in the wilderness enables us to deeply reflect on the topic of gardening activities from the perspective of building the sense of togetherness and mutual interspecies dependence of humans, plants and animals.
What were the fruits of our labour? And what was left when everyone finished eating?
A five-course banquet offered several installations whose format was a combination of visual art and a DIY manual, an arena for micro-performance and a banquet table offering choice delicacies. The individual courses symbolically served Inhuman Party [slug performance], Human Party [picnic in the garden], Speculative Greenhouse [installation and manual], Planetary Thermodynamics: Energy Justice [video essay], Appropriate Accelerationism [guided walk through the "garden"].
The event was presented during the Kutná Hora Performing Arts Festival and took place in the non-preserved garden of the Sedlec Brewery.
