Is a dance work of four dancers in which the humour that arises from the handling of scenographic material and the barely controllable physical energy, emerging from anger and unite in a surreal way. It addresses the contemporary phenomenon of living in an "angry society”, in which constant stimulation from our environment leads to inner and outer tensions accumulating to the point where explosion seems to be the only way out.
The principal force of this piece is tension. We will play with you by diving deep into the subjectives experiences of strong emotions and then pulling you out again with humorous situations, keeping you above everything happening inside of you.
Through expressive and disturbing, yet captivating scenes, EXPLOSION triggers the spectator’s inner reflection. How do we reflect on the fact that we live in an "angry society" where violence is part of our daily lives? Do you enjoy being angry? Do anger and violence scare you? Is it all too much at the same time?
