This unique visual and movement-based performance explores the theme of "power play" with a touch of comedy.
Is it light-hearted or deadly serious? Realistic or surreal? Absurd or rational? How far can "manipulation" really go?
Two agile old men (twins) in suits navigate a claustrophobically tight, light-defined space. Their precise, stylized movements are simultaneously urgent, absurd, and satirical, yet occasionally serious. The peculiar games they play serve as a metaphor and reflection of contemporary world politics, symbolizing the consequences of ignoring power structures and losing control over one’s own life.
This work emerged from a personal response to the disinformation surrounding COVID-19, the exploitation of climate change for political gain, and the manipulation of public perception regarding the war in Ukraine.
